With these care tips, your cashmere sweater will stay soft and luxurious for a long time, allowing you to enjoy it for many years.
𝗪𝗮𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴: Hand wash preferred: It is best to hand wash your cashmere sweater. Use cold to lukewarm water and a special detergent for wool or cashmere. Gently soak the sweater, moving it slightly in the water without rubbing or wringing.
𝗠𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗪𝗮𝘀𝗵: If you want to wash the sweater in the washing machine, be sure to select the wool wash cycle or a special program for delicate textiles. Use a laundry bag and carefully place the sweater inside to avoid friction. Also, use a wool or cashmere detergent and set the machine to a low spin speed.
𝗥𝗶𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴: Rinse the sweater thoroughly with cold water to remove all detergent residue. Be careful not to press or wring the material too hard.
𝗗𝗿𝘆𝗶𝗻𝗴: Gently squeeze the water out of the sweater without twisting it. Then roll it in a towel and press gently to absorb excess water. After that, lay the sweater flat on a dry towel and let it air dry. Avoid direct sunlight and heat sources such as radiators, as this can damage the material.
𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗴: After washing, gently pull the sweater into shape to maintain its original size and form.
𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗲: Pilling removal: Cashmere can form small knots (pilling) due to friction. Carefully remove these with a cashmere comb or a special pilling shaver. Make sure not to damage the material in the process.
