Acavallo "Rel-X 180 Titanium/Nickel Safety Stirrups

The Acavallo Rel-X 180 safety stirrup features a proven side arm and is made from a high-tech material combination using an innovative injection molding process.

The metal and flexible polymer materials used offer the rider maximum comfort, due to improved material stiffness compared to conventional stirrups. The side arm features the proven 180° rotating opening system. This facilitates the release of the foot in the event of a fall. The footrest is made of stainless steel. It offers optimal grip and is rust-resistant. The spreading mechanism is a strategically superior position in the Freccia to accelerate the movement of the feet through the air. Both the pin and the internal components of the mechanism are made of wide-standing stainless steel.

The grip-equipped footrest is inclined by 5° for an anatomical foot and knee position. The stirrups are particularly light at 519 g. The surface has been treated with the scratch-resistant shot-peening process.

𝙍𝙚𝙜𝙪𝙡𝙖𝙧 𝘾𝙡𝙚𝙖𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜: After every ride, you should clean your stirrups of dirt, mud, and dust. Simply wipe them with a damp cloth. For heavier soiling, you can use a soft brush and lukewarm water.

𝙄𝙣𝙨𝙥𝙚𝙘𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙏𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙙𝙨: Regularly check the stirrup treads for wear. If they are damaged or worn, they should be replaced to ensure safety.

𝘾𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙤𝙛 𝙈𝙚𝙩𝙖𝙡: If your stirrups are made of metal, keep them free of rust. For stainless steel stirrups, regular wiping is sufficient. If you notice rusty spots, you can carefully treat them with fine steel wool or a rust remover.

𝘾𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙤𝙛 𝙋𝙡𝙖𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙘 𝙎𝙩𝙞𝙧𝙧𝙪𝙥𝙨: Plastic stirrups should also be cleaned regularly. Use a mild detergent and avoid aggressive chemicals that could damage the plastic.

𝘿𝙧𝙮𝙞𝙣𝙜: After cleaning, thoroughly dry the stirrups, especially if they have gotten wet, to prevent rust formation on metal parts.

𝙎𝙩𝙤𝙧𝙖𝙜𝙚: Hang the stirrups in a dry place when not in use. Avoid storing them in damp environments to prevent corrosion or material damage.
